Methane concentration technology – biogas
PSA method of biogas concentration is to use adsorbent to separate methane, carbon dioxide and nitrogen in biogas, so as to achieve the purpose of met…
Technical Overview
The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) biogas upgrading technology uses specially selected adsorbents to separate impurities such as carbon dioxide (CO₂) and nitrogen (N₂) from biogas while retaining methane (CH₄). Through this adsorption and regeneration process, the methane content is significantly increased to achieve natural gas-grade biogas upgrading.
Before entering the PSA purification unit, raw biogas undergoes pretreatment processes including moisture removal through a liquid separator and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) removal through a desulfurization tower. After purification, the gas is processed in the PSA system to produce high-quality upgraded natural gas.
System Capacity: 200–5000 Nm³/h
Key Technical Features
High Methane Recovery and Adjustable Product Purity
The system can achieve high-purity upgraded gas output, with product quality adjustable according to different application requirements.
Automated Operation and Control
The PSA unit features a high level of automation, enabling stable operation, simplified management, and reduced manual intervention.
Skid-Mounted Modular Structure
The compact skid-mounted design integrates major process components into a standardized module, reducing installation complexity and improving project deployment efficiency.
Application
Biogas Purification and Upgrading
The PSA biogas upgrading system is designed for converting raw biogas into high-quality natural gas by removing CO₂, H₂S, moisture, and other impurities. It is suitable for industrial biogas purification projects requiring efficient methane enrichment and reliable gas quality control.
